RAFAKidz Limited in Benson, Wallingford is looking for a Kitchen Assistant to support the busy nursery catering team. You will work 11am–3pm, Monday to Thursday, helping the cook, preparing meals and ensuring quality and safety in line with dietary requirements.

The role requires a current Food Hygiene certificate and offers training where needed. This position is part-time with a focus on creating healthy meals for children.

Competenze

• Current Food Hygiene certificate required.
• Experience in a nursery or catering environment preferred.
• Ability to work 4 hours daily Mon-Thu.

Mansioni

• Assist the cook in managing the nursery kitchens and food policies.
• Organise, prepare and serve nursery meals in line with menus and dietary needs.
• Demonstrate patience and act as a positive role model for children; safeguard them by following policies.
• Ensure high standards of kitchen hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with Environmental Health guidance.

As part of the busy catering team, we would love to welcome a new colleague who can bring creativityand imagination withan abundanceof great ideas to enhancemealtimes.Ideallyyou will have previousexperiencewithin a busy catering environment.

The key responsibilities of the role include assisting the cook in the management of the nursery kitchens, food policies, organising, preparing, and serving nursery meals in accordance with the nursery menus and individual dietary requirements. You will be a good role model to the children, demonstrating patience and encouragement and take all the necessary steps to safeguard children by following policies and procedures in place.You will be required to work 4 hours a day Monday to Thursday. A current Food Hygiene certificate is a requirement for this role however we can provide training for the ideal candidate. Our Kitchen Assistantsensure hygiene andcleanlinesswithin the kitchen is of the highest standard in accordance withEnvironmentalHealthrequirementsand legislation.Excellent knowledge of current legislations in Environmental Health and Food Standards Agencywould be highly desirable.
