Overview

Stirling Dynamics is recruiting a Stock Controller to join the Production team.

Due to continued growth, Stirling Dynamics is looking for someone to join Stock Control within the Production department. The role will focus on the control of supplied goods and products with the company and will involve the management and optimisation of working processes in addition to core responsibilities.

Stirling Dynamics designs, develops and produces a wide range of high‑end aircraft simulators and flightworthy cockpit controls. Our range of active and passive products includes side sticks, throttles, collectives, cyclics, tillers and pedals.

This role is based at our Bristol office and, due to the nature of its responsibilities, requires the successful candidate to work onsite exclusively.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure stock within the business is effectively and efficiently received, controlled and released to meet the needs of company projects.
  • Oversee the storage, safeguarding and dispatch of all company product and customer items.
  • Operate physical areas: Goods‑in reception, Goods‑in/dispatch, General Stores, Bonded Stores (including Quarantine), Consumable racking areas within Assembly.
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of stock‑management processes.
  • Goods‑in: receive delivered goods, conduct the checking‑in process in accordance with the company Goods Inwards Inspection and Control process, update stock status in the ERP system, release goods to Project or Stock, and liaise with Procurement, Quality and Project Management on conformance/quality issues.
  • Product control: receive and manage product through to dispatch, including storage, movements, final inspection (quality responsibility), packing and dispatch; manage storage and safeguarding of Development and Marketing product when not in use; handle product returned for repair following the company Hardware Repair and Maintenance procedure.
  • Stock management: manage stock location; conduct internal and audited stock‑checks to match ERP quantities; manage obsolescence; monitor consumables to replenish or order timely; handle quarantine and stock scrapping; kitting and transfer from Stock to Project; manage product kitting against a Product BOM; release completed kits into Assembly; dispatch.
  • Manage packing materials (general and product specific); manage packing process after final inspection; ensure product is dispatched safely and in a controlled manner.

  • Experience with ERP systems and digital inventory management systems.
