Job summary

NHS Lanarkshire invites applications for an Annex 21 training post in radiography. Trainees receive 75% of the top of Band 2 during training and progress to Band 3 on completion.

The role covers imaging procedures (CT, MRI, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound and plain films) with a focus on patient-centred care and safe workflow in a busy department. Essential criteria include SVQ III in Healthcare Support - Clinical or equivalent radiography experience; induction up to 3 months and training to full

Qualifications

• SVQ III in Healthcare Support - Clinical (incorporating radiographic images) or working towards radiography experience.
• SVQ III in Healthcare Support - Clinical or working towards or equivalent experience working within a clinical healthcare environment/role.
• Postholders with no previous radiography experience will be treated under Annex 21 Arrangements for Pay and Banding of Trainees – 75% of the maximum salary.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high standard of care to a wide patient group during radiological imaging procedures (CT, MRI, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound and plain films).
• Assist radiology staff in producing high quality images and ensure patient-centred care and efficient patient flow.
• Input patient data on Radiology information system and maintain accurate records.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
