Job summary

NHS Lanarkshire is offering an Annex 21 training post in Radiology for a dedicated health support professional. The role provides patient‑centred clerical and imaging support across CT, MRI, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound and plain film procedures.

An induction period followed by 12 months of competency training is included. Being part of a multidisciplinary team, you will work under supervision to gain skills, with 75% of Band 2 during training and progression to Band 3 on completion.

Qualifications

• SVQ III in Healthcare Support - Clinical or working towards or equivalent radiography experience.
• Or SVQ III in Healthcare Support - Clinical or working towards or equivalent experience working within a clinical healthcare environment/role.

Responsibilities

• Care for every patients’ needs, and to look after his or her welfare
• Initialise basic assessment of patient physical capabilities e.g. patient’s ability to undress
• Be responsible for providing basic information to patients
• Input patient data on Radiology information system
