Job summary

The Royal Oldham Hospital in Oldham is seeking a permanent full-time receptionist in the Radiology Department. You will greet patients, process CRIS referrals, answer phones and provide clerical support.

Shifts run from 08:00 to 20:00 on weekdays with some weekend work; cover at Fairfield General Hospital and Rochdale Infirmary may be required at short notice. Full training will be provided, radiology knowledge not required.

Qualifications

• GCSE English Language grade A-C or O level equivalent.
• Previous clerical experience.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and attending patients on arrival, providing a positive experience.
• Processing scan referrals on CRIS from GPs and outpatients.
• Providing reception and clerical support to the Radiology Department.
• Answering telephone enquiries from patients and the public.
• Scanning, filing, emailing and photocopying.
• Covering Fairfield General Hospital and Rochdale Infirmary on occasion, and other sites at short notice.

Job description

Permanent full-time receptionist post in the Radiology Department at The Royal Oldham Hospital, run by Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust. Greeting patients on arrival comes first, alongside processing CRIS scan referrals from GPs and outpatients, answering phones and handling scanning, filing and copying. Shifts run 08:00 to 20:00 on weekdays with some weekend work, and cover at other sites may be needed at short notice. Radiology knowledge and CRIS experience are not required, as full training is given.
