Job summary

Spire Leicester Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Radiology Manager to join the team on a permanent Full Time basis. The Radiology Manager will lead the Imaging Department, delivering excellent clinical care and effective managerial leadership to meet service levels and the hospital business plan.

The role requires a degree, HCPC registration and supervisory/management experience, with a focus on driving service improvement and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide exemplary radiology care while managing the Imaging Department.

• Lead human resources activities for the team.
• Plan, monitor and quality assure use of technology for measurement and treatment.

Spire Leicester Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Radiology Manager to join the team on a permanent Full Time basis.

Duties and responsibilities:

To provide exemplary radiology care for patients while managing the Imaging Department. To ensure the diagnostic imaging team delivers effective treatment to clients by providing excellent clinical and managerial leadership. To meet AOP and effect service level in line with departmental and hospital business plan.

• Plan, monitor and quality assure the application of technology for measurement, monitoring, diagnoses and treatment.
• Acknowledge the risk of Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAI) and understand own responsibility as agreed with line manager in the prevention and control of HCAI.

Who we're looking for:

Qualifications and Training:

• Degree (BSc Hons) or equivalent.
• Registered with the Health and Care Professional Council
• Supervisory/Management qualification
• Member of the Society of Radiographers

Experience:

• Analysing imaging management problems and coming up with viable solutions
• Working as a practitioner in and across multi disciplinary teams
• Experience of applying clinical reasoning skills to a range of complex and varied patient cases
• Challenging consultants to influence evidence based practice
• Share evidence based practices with colleagues to enhance service and standards
• Experience of working in partnership with consultants and participating in creating innovative solution for the service
• Experience of clinical leadership and supervisory experience
• Experience of independent sector
• Support the commercial development of the business locally
