Job summary

Nuffield Health York Hospital is inviting applications for a Radiology Assistant on a bank/ad hoc basis. The role supports MRI, fluoroscopy and ultrasound workflows and requires empathy and patient-centred care in a private hospital setting.

The post is part-time and ad hoc, with compensation up to £16.10 per hour depending on experience. The department offers a dynamic environment with a focus on high-quality imaging and patient care.

Qualifications

• Experience within a Radiology department, assisting with MRI, fluoroscopy and US procedures in particular.
• NVQ Level 3 in Health related subject
• Be caring and empathetic.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients throughout their time within the department and preparing patients prior to their imaging.
• Assisting the Radiographers in maintaining an efficient daily work list, workflow of patients.
• Assist Radiologists in carrying out radiological examinations/chaperoning patients.
• Deal with service user queries and patient appointments using Radiology IT systems.
• Be responsible for stock maintenance and ordering.
• Deal with patient image transfer to and from other health institutions.
