Job summary

Nuffield Health Warwickshire Hospital is seeking a Bank Radiology Assistant to support the Radiology Department on a flexible, ad-hoc basis. The role involves assisting with a range of radiological examinations and preparing patients for imaging across MRI, ultrasound and fluoroscopy.

You will help maintain daily workflows, support Radiographers and Radiologists, and handle patient queries while contributing to a high-quality, caring patient experience.

Qualifications

• Care certificate or NVQ Level 2 in a health related subject.
• Experience in a Radiology department, assisting with MRI and ultrasound is desirable.
• Experience in ANTT procedures.
• Cannulation training desirable.
• Caring and empathetic nature.
• Enthusiastic team player joining a radiology team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with a range of radiological examinations.
• Prepare patients and support them during imaging.
• Work across imaging modalities including MRI, ultrasound and fluoroscopy.
• Assist Radiographers with daily workflow and patient lists.
• Assist Radiologists with radiological examinations.
• Handle service user queries and appointments via Radiology IT systems.
• Be responsible for stock maintenance and ordering.

Radiology Assistant (Bank) Warwickshire Hospital | Radiology | Bank contract

Up to £14 per hour depending on experience.

Our Radiology Department in our Warwickshire Hospital currently have an opportunity for a Bank Radiology Assistant. Continue your journey with us whilst we'll support you to be your best.

As our Radiology Assistant, you will:

• A chance to be a part of a dynamic radiology department, assisting with a range of radiological examinations


• Assist patients throughout their time within the department and preparing patients prior to their imaging


• Work in a variety of imaging modalities, including MRI, ultrasound and fluoroscopy


• Assisting the Radiographers in maintaining an efficient daily work list, workflow of patients


• Assist Radiologists in carrying out radiological examinations


• Deal with service user queries and patient appointments using Radiology IT systems


• Be responsible for stock maintenance and ordering

To succeed as a Radiology Assistant, you will have:

• Care certificate and/or NVQ Level 2 in a Health related subject


• Experience within a Radiology department, assisting with MRI and US procedures in particular is desirable


• Experience in ANTT procedures


• Cannulation training desirable


• Be caring and empathetic
