Job summary

Nuffield Health York Hospital is seeking a part-time Radiology Assistant (Bank) to support the radiology team in York. You will assist patients before imaging and help maintain smooth department workflows.

Key responsibilities include supporting radiographers and radiologists during examinations, handling patient queries, managing stock and ordering, and transferring patient images to and from other health institutions. The role is ad-hoc, with pay up to £16.10 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience within a Radiology department, assisting with MRI, fluoroscopy and US procedures in particular.
• NVQ Level 3 in Health related subject.
• Be caring and empathetic.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients throughout their time within the department and preparing patients prior to their imaging.
• Assisting the Radiographers in maintaining an efficient daily work list, workflow of patients.
• Assist Radiologists in carrying out radiological examinations/chaperoning patients.
• Deal with service user queries and patient appointments using Radiology IT systems.
• Be responsible for stock maintenance and ordering.
• Deal with patient image transfer to and from other health institutions.
