Job summary

Nuffield Health Warwickshire Hospital is seeking a Bank Radiology Assistant to support the radiology department on a flexible, ad-hoc basis. The role involves assisting with a range of imaging examinations and preparing patients for imaging across MRI, ultrasound and fluoroscopy.

This bank position offers up to £14 per hour depending on experience, with benefits including holiday in line with the Working Time Directive, a pension scheme, and discounted gym membership.

Qualifications

• Care certificate and/or NVQ Level 2 in a health-related subject.
• Experience in Radiology department, MRI and US procedures desirable.
• ANTT procedures experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with a range of radiological examinations.
• Prepare patients prior to imaging and assist during procedures.
• Work across imaging modalities including MRI, ultrasound and fluoroscopy.
• Assist Radiographers in maintaining workflow and daily lists.
• Assist Radiologists in carrying out radiological examinations.
• Process patient appointments and inquiries using Radiology IT systems.
• Maintain stock and order supplies.

Radiology Assistant (Bank)

Up to £14 per hour depending on experience

OurRadiology Department in our Warwickshire Hospital currently have an opportunity for a Bank Radiology Assistant. Continue your journey with us whilst we’ll support you to be your best.

As ourRadiology Assistant, you will:

• A chance to be a part of a dynamic radiology department, assisting with a range of radiological examinations
• Assist patients throughout their time within the department and preparing patients prior to their imaging
• Work in a variety of imaging modalities, including MRI, ultrasound and fluoroscopy
• Assisting the Radiographers in maintaining an efficient daily work list, workflow of patients
• Assist Radiologists in carrying out radiological examinations
• Deal with service user queries and patient appointments using Radiology IT systems
• Be responsible for stock maintenance and ordering

To succeed as a Radiology Assistant, you will have:

• Care certificate and/or NVQ Level 2 in a Health related subject
• Experience within a Radiology department, assisting with MRI and US procedures in particular is desirable
• Experience in ANTT procedures
• Cannulation training desirable
• Be caring and empathetic
