Job summary

Nuffield Health Cardiff & Vale Hospitals is seeking a Radiology Administrator on a bank contract (part-time) to join the Diagnostic Imaging team. You will welcome patients, book and coordinate radiology appointments, and help the department run smoothly through admin duties and data handling.

The role involves supporting radiographers, radiologists, and clinicians, with duties including preparing documentation, processing referrals, and transferring imaging data between hospitals.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to greet patients and build relationships with staff and clinicians.
• Strong organisational and analytical abilities to manage diaries, appointments, and databases.
• Good IT and keyboard skills; familiarity with data protection and handling clinical paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients in person and direct them to waiting areas.
• Schedule radiology appointments and manage diaries and databases.
• Answer phones and handle queries with a patient-focused approach.
• Prepare clinical paperwork, referral forms, charge sheets, and terms and conditions.
• Support clinical staff and assist with transferring images between hospitals.
• Distribute imaging reports to referring clinicians.
