Job summary

Barking Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust in Romford is seeking a substantive Consultant Radiologist specializing in Upper GI and hepatobiliary imaging to join our established radiology team. The post covers general radiology, upper GI and hepatobiliary imaging with the majority at Queen's Hospital, Romford, and occasional work at Barking CDC and St George's CDC.

You will participate in MDTs, on-call duties, and ongoing departmental governance, with the aim of delivering

Qualifications

• Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists.
• Full GMC registration with a license to practice.
• CCT or CESR/sub-specialist registration by date of interview.
• MRCP/MRCS or equivalent.
• Fellowship/equivalent experience in upper GI imaging as a consultant.
• Maintains an appropriate logbook.

Responsibilities

• Independently report body CT and MRI examinations, especially liver, pancreas and hepatobiliary system.
• Supervise and perform barium/contrast procedures.
• Perform transabdominal ultrasound examinations.
• Report cross-sectional images for MRI/CT at CDC centres, King George's and Queen's Hospital.
• Contribute to the general duty roster and hot reporting sessions.
• Contribute to specialist MDTs with colleagues in rotation.
• Attend mandatory departmental governance meetings and audits.
• Share on-call commitment with other radiology consultants.

Education

Fellowship Royal College of Radiologists

Full GMC registration with a license to practice

Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or CESR

MRCP, MRCS or equivalent

Fellowship in upper GI imaging
