Qualifications

• Significant expertise in nuclear and/or defence environments.
• Strong understanding of radiological protection principles, UK legislation, and regulatory requirements (IRR17, ALARP).
• Proven track record leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and provide technical oversight for radiological protection projects across nuclear and defence sectors.
• Act as a trusted technical authority on radiation protection, regulatory compliance and risk management.
• Ensure safe, compliant delivery to high quality standards while meeting client objectives.
• Support Radiation Protection Adviser (RPA) services with practical, robust solutions.
• Drive radiological protection strategies through the nuclear lifecycle.
• Collaborate with clients, regulators, project managers and specialists to achieve outcomes.
• Mentor and develop RP professionals, promoting learning and excellence.
• Contribute to standards, best practices and continuous improvement in RP.
• Support business growth through client engagement and opportunity identification.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across industry and regulators.
