Job summary

The Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust in Exeter invites applications for a Senior Radiographic Assistant within the Medical Imaging Department. Based at Wonford and Nightingale Centre, you will support Radiographers and Radiologists across X-ray, CT, MRI and Ultrasound.

You will supervise and train junior staff, ensuring high standards of clinical care while working across a range of shifts. This NHS role offers Band 3 pay and pro rata hours depending on contract.

An exciting opportunity is available to join the Medical Imaging Department in Exeter at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

This is a Senior Radiographic Assistant role working within Medical Imaging supporting patients for diagnostic tests; working at the RDUH eastern sites at Wonford, Exeter Nightingale CDC and Community Hospitals.

Based at Wonford and the Devon Diagnostic Centre (Nightingale Hospital ) site at Sowton, our Medical Imaging team provide a broad range of imaging modality services including, Plain Film X-Ray, Interventional Radiology, CT, MRI, and Ultrasound. As a Senior Radiographic Assistant you will work to support the Radiographic Assistants, Radiographers and Radiologists across these modalities. The department opens from 8am until 8pm 7 days a week, with 24hour services for A&E and ward services. You will be required to be flexible and available to work a range of shifts including 8am-8pm, 9am-5pm, 9am-1pm, 8.30am-5.30pm over the 7 days of the week.

Successful candidates to the role will be flexible, adaptable and patient focussed, aiming to deliver the highest standards of clinical care. The role will involve supervising and training junior colleagues and new starters to enable them to achieve the high standards expected. You will be supported to develop the skills required to work in this role.
