Job summary

Essential Employment in Kidlington is seeking a Radio Communications Technician to perform repairs, servicing, maintenance and testing of radio equipment. The role is full time hours on a temporary basis with a daily pay rate of £150.

You will diagnose faults, configure radios, and provide technical support on customer sites, maintaining records and ensuring safety standards are met. The position requires delivering and collecting equipment, keeping stock, and responding to urgent breakdowns

Qualifications

• Carry out repairs, servicing, maintenance and testing of radio communication equipment.
• Diagnose faults and undertake corrective repairs to keep equipment operational.
• Configure, programme and prepare radios and related equipment for deployment.
• Provide technical support and guidance to customers and end users.

• Carry out repairs, servicing, maintenance, and testing of radio communication equipment.
• Diagnose faults and undertake corrective repairs to ensure equipment remains operational.
• Configure, programme, and prepare radios and associated communication equipment for deployment.
• Deliver radios and communication equipment to customer sites and operational locations.
• Collect faulty equipment from sites and return it for repair or replacement.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, testing, installations, and equipment movements.
• Undertake routine inspections and preventative maintenance of radio communication systems.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company procedures, health and safety standards, and manufacturer guidelines.
• Provide technical support and basic user guidance to customers and end users.
• Maintain stock levels of spare parts, accessories, and equipment.
• Report recurring faults, equipment failures, and technical issues to management.
• Ensure vehicles, tools, and testing equipment are maintained in a safe and serviceable condition.
• Respond to urgent equipment breakdowns and operational requirements when required.
