Job summary

Rolls-Royce in Derby invites a Project Engineer to join the Development Engineering team within R&T Demonstrators. The role focuses on delivering defined work packages across engineering and organisational boundaries, with ownership for scope, resources, cost and delivery.

You will plan, integrate and deliver engineering activities with specialists and stakeholders, coordinating multidisciplinary teams to meet milestones and ensure successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in an engineering, technical or product-development environment.
• Ability to translate engineering challenges into practical plans and activities.
• Strong coordination skills and ability to work with a range of stakeholders.
• Ability to manage risks, issues, dependencies and competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, integrate and deliver engineering activities with cross-functional teams.
• Define objectives, scope, deliverables and success criteria with project teams.
• Develop and maintain integrated plans with milestones and dependencies.
• Identify required skills and resources (internal and external).
• Control budgets for the area of responsibility and align with the delivery plan.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver project objectives.
• Support development, test and verification activities.
• Coordinate activities for demonstrator hardware, rigs and test setups.
• Monitor progress, risks and dependencies and drive actions.
• Ensure ownership and follow-through of actions and deliverables.
• Compile engineering information to support technical decisions and milestones.
• Support funding reviews with partner agencies and provide progress data.
