Job summary

Mondelēz International in the UK seeks an R&D Intern for the Taste The Future program. You will work with experienced scientists on the development and improvement of chocolate products, learning the full product development lifecycle and engaging with global stakeholders to drive innovation.

The role offers hands-on sensory and consumer research exposure, mentorship, and deployment across cross-functional teams, with opportunities to network and grow within a leading snacking company.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science/Engineering with predicted 2:1 or equivalent.
• Strong analytical, communication and presentation abilities.
• Technical rigor with a scientific approach to new situations.
• Pro-active, motivated team player with initiative.
• Agile and able to manage multiple tasks with feedback.
• Collaborative mindset for cross-functional teams.
• Creative, curious and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Understand the Consumer Science toolbox and project methodologies.
• Support daily sensory work and recruit sensory panels.
• Train sensory panels and produce technical reports/presentations.
• Lead sensory and consumer research for chocolate products.
• Interact with consumers virtually or digitally for insights.
• Collaborate with marketing, product, procurement and engineering teams.
• Develop competencies in sensory and consumer software.
• Assist with Lab Management: samples, consumables, safety.
