Job summary

Mondelēz International offers an R&D Consumer Science Internship – Taste The Future Programme UK, a 12-month fixed-term placement in UK R&D to learn from experienced scientists and contribute to snack product development.

You'll gain hands-on experience in the Consumer Science process, work with global teams, and build technical skills in sensory research while exploring a diverse, multicultural environment and a global FMCG company culture.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Food Science, Engineering or related scientific field with a 2:1 predicted or equivalent.
• Strong analytical, communication and presentation abilities.
• Pro-active, highly motivated team player who thrives on new challenges and can work autonomously.
• Able to manage multiple tasks, adapt quickly and respond to feedback constructively.
• Collaborative mindset with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Product, Process, Procurement).
• Creative and curious about food, sensory science and product development.

Responsibilities

• Understand the Consumer Science toolbox and its application across project types.
• Support daily sensory work and recruit sensory panels.
• Train sensory panels and produce technical reports with recommendations.
• Lead sensory and consumer research for chocolate products using qualitative and quantitative methods.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop products loved by consumers.
• Develop competencies in sensory and consumer software and assist with Lab Management.
