Job summary

Halecroft Recruitment is supporting a Trafford Park-based client in recruiting an R&D Chemist to join their specialist technical team. The role covers development, testing, and technical support within a Lubricant Performance Additives environment.

The successful candidate will work on development samples, product evaluations, and R&D projects, ensuring accurate data, and responding to technical queries. Right to work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry or relevant scientific discipline preferred.
• A Levels in Chemistry and Maths as a minimum.
• Substantial laboratory experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team.
• Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
• Knowledge of the lubricants industry would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and test development samples.
• Conduct product performance evaluations and testing.
• Support R&D and innovation projects.
• Respond to technical service requests and customer queries.
• Prepare and dispatch samples to customers and other facilities.
• Support the day-to-day running of the laboratory.
• Manage laboratory consumables, reagents, and safety equipment.
• Maintain accurate records and test data.
