Job summary

Boeing Defence United Kingdom Limited is seeking a Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) Engineer to support new business opportunities and existing platforms, including fixed and vertical lift aircraft. The role sits in the Product Support Engineering Department and reports to the Support Engineering Manager, with support from the R&M Lead and specialists.

Qualifications

• Eligibility for UK SC Security Clearance.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related fields.
• High level of skill in reliability availability modelling.
• Understanding of the relationships between R&M and Design, Dependability, Safety.
• Proficiency with MS Word and Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

• Work in a team and carry out the execution of contracted R&M work.
• Provide analytical capability to transform information and data; providing insight to support R&M decision making.
• Collaborating with other Engineering disciplines and stakeholders to ensure consistency of methods.
• Support and review FMECA, FTA, failure analysis, and corrective action (FRACAS).
• Coordinate, monitor, establish KPI and report status of R&M activities.
• Perform statistical analysis on fault data to identify reliability thresholds and trending.
• Work with modelling teams and supply chain to connect R&M data to provisioning and forecasting of aircraft spares.
• Present R&M findings within UK defence customer forums and working groups.
