Job summary

Edwards Surfacing is seeking a quotations specialist to price civil and surfacing work from measurements, photos and satellite imagery. The role is based at our Great Horwood office, with a focus on turning surveys into fast, accurate quotations and following up on outcomes.

You will work with the surveying team and suppliers to refine pricing, track leads, and help the business win more work while maintaining careful cost control. Salary reflects experience.

Qualifications

• Experience pricing work in construction, civils, surfacing or related trade.
• Confidence with measurements, quantities and rates and accuracy to get them right.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications.
• Organised and capable of handling multiple quotations.
• Comfortable calling customers and following up quotations.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and learning new software.
• UK driving licence required.
• Nice to have: background in surfacing, highways or civil engineering; related construction qualifications; estimating software experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage the lead register and ensure every enquiry is picked up promptly.
• Price straightforward jobs yourself from measurements, photos and satellite images.
• Turn site measurements into priced quotations, usually the same day.
• Follow up open quotations and record outcomes of wins or losses.
• Collaborate with surveyors, the office team and suppliers to get details right.
• Help understand why we win or lose so pricing improves over time.
