Job summary

Breedon Group plc, Hope Cement Works, is seeking a flexible, self-motivated quarry production team member. This role requires shift work, including some weekends, and a commitment to high health and safety standards.

You will operate loading at the face with a wheeled loader or 360 excavator and help process materials. The successful candidate will contribute to continuous safety improvements and carry out basic maintenance and housekeeping duties, with a focus on operational quarry experience

Qualifications

• GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English
• Experience operating wheeled loader or 360 excavator in quarry applications; ADT and rigid truck operations or processing plant experience
• NVQ level 2 or MPQC qualification in truck, excavator and loader operations
• Excellent safety awareness and adherence to procedures
• Operational experience in quarrying operations

Responsibilities

Job description

An exciting opportunity for a flexible, self-motivated and positive individual to work as a member of the Quarry Production team at Hope Cement Works. Shift working will be a requirement of the job role, including some weekend work.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating to high health, safety and environmental standards.
• Loading at the face with either a wheeled loader or 360 excavator.
• Hauling materials from the quarry face to the crusher.
• Operation of the processing systems.
• First line maintenance and housekeeping duties.

Health and Safety is the number one priority in all aspects of our quarrying operations and the successful candidate will be required to contribute and assist with the continuous improvement of safety standards.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• GCSE grade C (or equivalent) or above, Maths and English
