Job summary

Breedon Group plc is seeking a Quarry Process Operator for Hope Valley, Derbyshire. The role is full-time, based on-site, and requires shift work including some weekend duties.

You will load at the face with a wheeled loader or 360 excavator, haul material to the crusher, and operate processing systems while upholding safety standards. The successful candidate will have quarry experience, appropriate qualifications, and a strong safety mindset, contributing to Breedon’s zero-harm culture and

Qualifications

GCSE grade C (or equivalent) in Maths and English
Operation of wheeled loader or 360 excavator in quarry applications
NVQ Level 2 or MPQC qualified in truck, excavator and loader operations
Excellent safety awareness
Operational experience in quarrying

Responsibilities

Operate to high health, safety and environmental standards

Quarry Process Operator Breedon Group plc Hope Valley, Derbyshire, GB

Description

An exciting opportunity for a flexible, self-motivated and positive individual to work as a member of the Quarry Production team at Hope Cement Works.

Shift working will be a requirement of the job role, including some weekend work.

Key Responsibilities

Operating to high health, safety and environmental standards.
Loading at the face with either a wheeled loader or 360 excavator.
Hauling materials from the quarry face to the crusher.
Operation of the processing systems.
First line maintenance and housekeeping duties.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

GCSE grade C (or equivalent) or above, Maths and English
Operation of wheeled loader or 360 excavator in quarry applications, ADT & rigid truck operation or processing plant experience
NVQ level 2 or MPQC qualified in truck, excavator and loader operations
Excellent safety awareness
Operational experience in quarrying
