Job summary

Breedon Group plc in Leaton Quarry, Telford, is seeking an Assistant Quarry Manager to support the Quarry Manager in efficiently running a busy quarry and production of materials while upholding HSE standards. The role, based at Leaton Quarry, Shropshire, involves hands-on supervision and a collaborative team environment.

The role is based on 48 hours per week, with a focus on safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experienced working in a quarry environment.
• Previous experience in a management position.
• Flexible, proactive approach to establish high standards of work performance.
• Ability to demonstrate proven experience with assisting with management of a large site.
• Positive and hardworking.

Responsibilities

• Certify the Quarry is run in line with the operating licence, through statutory procedure checks and reporting.
• Place high importance on safety and drive forwards our standards of excellence in Health, Safety and Environmental Management.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, monitoring plant condition and performance.
• Support the Quarry Manager in efficiently managing a busy quarry and production of materials.
