Tarmac Trading Limited is recruiting for a Multi Skilled Operative at Ballidon Quarry near Ashbourne, Derbyshire. The role involves working in an industrial setting with on-site machinery and a focus on health, safety, environmental and quality performance.

You’ll operate machinery such as ADTs, tractors and excavators, keep the site clean, run the weighbridge, and support plant optimisation while adhering to safety protocols and company policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial, factory or similar environments.
• Good communication skills and desire to develop operative and supervisory skills.
• Willingness to learn and follow company policies, targets and standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery on site, including ADTs, tractors and excavators.
• Housekeeping and site upkeep to high standards.
• Operate weighbridge and drive loading shovel.
• Perform day-to-day maintenance and ensure high housekeeping levels.
• Support zero-harm culture and safety behaviours on site.
• Understand and follow SSOW, risk assessments and permit systems (where applicable).
• Assist in training and operation on static plant to drive plant optimisation.
