Tillicoultry Quarries Ltd. is seeking a Quarry Manager for the East Bilney Sand & Gravel Quarry. You will lead a small team, ensure safety compliance and drive production targets in a busy site environment.

The role requires 3+ years of leadership experience, solid knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation, and a good grasp of plant maintenance planning. A competitive package and progression opportunities are on offer.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience leading and managing teams.
• Strong awareness of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.
• Working towards or completed SHE NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent).
• Solid understanding of Quarry Regulations 1999 and ACOP.
• Good understanding of plant and machinery maintenance planning.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily safety, maintenance and service checks.
• Oversee safe operation of on-site equipment.
• Work with Production Manager and follow Quarry Development Plan.
• Meet site productivity targets.
• Maintain and develop SOPs, risk assessments and training.
• Manage maintenance and ensure plant meets production requirements.
• Support staff training and development.
• Carry out additional quarry duties as required.

Due to our continued success and rapid growth an excellent opportunity has arisen for a Quarry Manager based at our East Bilney Sand & Gravel Quarry. The successful candidates should be customer focused, reliable, well organised and be able to work well as part of a team in a busy site environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Carry out daily safety, maintenance and service checks;
• Safe and Efficient Operation of all the on-site equipment;
• Work closely and follow instructions from the Production Manager;
• Follow the Quarry Development Plan;
• Meet site Productivity Targets;
• Integrate with and work as part of a small team;
• Maintaining existing and implementing new Standard Operating Procedures, Risk Assessments and Training;
• Managing and overseeing the safe operation of the Quarry and the planned preventative maintenance of all site equipment;
• Ensuring the Plant meets operational and production requirements;
• Proactively managing both mandatory training and developmental training of staff;
• Carry out additional Quarry Duties as required.

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• At least 3 years' experience managing and leading teams;
• Excellent awareness of current Health, Safety and Environmental legislation;
• Completed, or be working towards, a SHE NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent);
• Excellent understanding of Quarry Regulations 1999 and ACOP;
• A good understanding of plant and machinery, including maintenance planning.
