Job summary

Tillicoultry Quarries Ltd. is recruiting a Quarry Manager for our East Bilney Sand & Gravel Quarry. You will lead a small team, ensure safe operation of all site equipment, and drive production targets while following the Quarry Development Plan.

We seek a customer-focused, reliable, well-organised professional with 3+ years of team leadership experience and strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation. A SHE NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent) is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience managing and leading teams.
• Strong knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.
• Completed, or working towards, NVQ/SHE Level 4 or equivalent.
• Good understanding of quarry regulations and ACOP.
• Knowledge of plant and machinery maintenance planning.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily safety, maintenance and service checks.
• Safe and Efficient Operation of all on-site equipment.
• Work closely with Production Manager and follow the Quarry Development Plan.
• Meet site productivity targets and maintain SOPs/Risk Assessments.
• Oversee staff training and development and ensure regulatory compliance.

Due to our continued success and rapid growth an excellent opportunity has arisen for a Quarry Manager based at our East Bilney Sand & Gravel Quarry. The successful candidates should be customer focused, reliable, well organised and be able to work well as part of a team in a busy site environment.

• Carry out daily safety, maintenance and service checks;
• Safe and Efficient Operation of all the on-site equipment;
• Work closely and follow instructions from the Production Manager;
• Follow the Quarry Development Plan;
• Meet site Productivity Targets;
• Integrate with and work as part of a small team;
• Maintaining existing and implementing new Standard Operating Procedures, Risk Assessments and Training;
• Managing and overseeing the safe operation of the Quarry and the planned preventative maintenance of all site equipment;
• Ensuring the Plant meets operational and production requirements;
• Proactively managing both mandatory training and developmental training of staff;
• Carry out additional Quarry Duties as required.

• At least 3 years' experience managing and leading teams;
• Excellent awareness of current Health, Safety and Environmental legislation;
• Completed, or be working towards, a SHE NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent);
• Excellent understanding of Quarry Regulations 1999 and ACOP;
• A good understanding of plant and machinery, including maintenance planning.
