Job summary

Tillicoultry Quarries Ltd. is seeking a Plant Fitter based in Kings Lynn (PE30 4NG) to service and repair mobile and fixed equipment across East Anglia. This is a mobile role, requiring travel between plants, with a focus on reliability and safety.

You will need a mechanical background, a relevant qualification (NVQ/CityGuilds) and a Full UK driving licence, plus experience with heavy earth moving and plant maintenance. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a mechanical background.
• Experience in an extractives environment (Sand and gravel).
• Experience maintaining and repairing concrete and/or asphalt plants desirable.
• A qualification in Plant maintenance/Agriculture/Mechanical Engineering (NVQ/CityGuilds).
• A Full UK drivers' licence.
• Experience maintaining heavy earth moving, crushing & screening equipment (Caterpillar, Komatsu, Volvo, Metso, Finlay).
• Experience in using burning/cutting equipment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Breakdown and defect repair.
• Fault finding and Diagnosis.
• Ensure Company vehicles and equipment are maintained in a safe, clean and tidy state.

Due to our continued success and rapid growth an excellent opportunity has arisen for a Plant Fitter based in Kings Lynn (PE30 4NG). The successful candidates should be customer focused, reliable, well organised and be able to work well as part of a team in a busy site environment. This is a mobile role and travelling between plants in East Anglia.

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• Experience in a mechanical background.
• Experience working in an extractive's environment (Sand and gravel)
• Experience maintaining and repairing concrete and/or asphalt plants is desirable.
• A qualification in either Plant maintenance/ Agriculture/ Mechanical Engineering this can be NVQ /CityGuilds.
• A Full UK drivers' licence
• Experience maintaining a wide range of heavy earth moving, crushing & screening equipment including Caterpillar, Komatsu, Volvo, Metso, & Finlay.
• Experience in using burning/ cutting equipment,
• Welding experience would be an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills
• – able to communicate effectively in order to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills – can identify the problem and generate a solution in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Flexible approach to work – able to go that extra mile when required and revise approach to meet operational requirements.
