Job summary

QMill is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead the day-to-day running of the UK office and drive customer relations across the UK. You will report to the Head of Business Development & Strategy, with flexible work location negotiated and collaboration across R&D and Sales teams.

While a background in quantum computing is not mandatory, you should have 5+ years in a tech-focused BD role, outstanding communication with senior stakeholders, and a drive to build a robust UK

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in business development, sales, or related role.
• Experience leading a team of experts.
• Strong understanding of UK business landscape and funding schemes.
• Excellent communication with senior stakeholders and investors.
• Master's degree preferred; UK work eligibility.
• Networking in target sectors is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the UK office and act as line manager.
• Monitor progress, manage risks and dependencies.
• Engage with customers, partners, and stakeholders to advance projects.
• Build a strong UK sales pipeline with Sales to drive revenue.
• Track UK funding opportunities (R&D, scale-up grants).
• Prepare materials for leadership, investors, customers.
• Support BD team and leadership for international expansion.
• Support UK office governance and local regulation compliance.
