Riverlane in Cambridge, UK, is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test to join the Test Engineering team. The role focuses on end-to-end testing of Riverlane's QEC software, including Deltakit, the compiler front end, and Deltaflow, with a strong emphasis on testing quality and usability.

The ideal candidate has experience as a developer transitioning to test, knowledge of quantum concepts, and solid Python skills to design and maintain tests that reflect real customer usage.

Qualificações

• Knowledge of quantum computation and core concepts such as quantum circuits
• Experience as a developer moving toward testing
• Strong Python skills with pytest and related testing tooling
• User-focused mindset and ability to reflect customer perspective in tests

Responsabilidades

• Design, write and maintain Python tests across the QEC software stack
• Test features from the customer point of view and ensure tests reflect real usage
• Identify areas where functionality could be clearer or easier to use and propose improvements
• Share findings with engineering and product teams and drive changes in the product
• Collaborate with developers to understand new features and plan testing approaches
