Job summary

Riverlane invites a current student to join our Cambridge team for a full-time summer internship lasting 10–12 weeks. You’ll work alongside engineers, mathematicians and physicists on quantum error correction projects, supervised by a dedicated mentor.

You will design, develop and test software related to Riverlane’s QEC tech, collaborate across technical teams, and document progress as you learn about quantum computing and its applications.

Qualifications

• Must be a current student in a technical field (Bachelor/Master/PhD).
• Studying CS, Software Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or related.
• Experience with at least one programming language (coursework/project/research).
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to take initiative and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and test software contributing to Riverlane’s quantum error correction technology.
• Work closely with software, hardware, research and other technical teams.
• Explore ideas, evaluate approaches and contribute to technical problem-solving.
• Communicate your work clearly through discussions, presentations and reports.
• Develop understanding of quantum computers, quantum error correction and their applications.
