Job summary

Oxford Quantum Circuits is seeking a Configuration Engineer to own day-to-day configuration data, BOMs and hardware release records. You’ll support design governance and change control while maturing PLM/PDM processes across engineering, operations and supply chain.

You will work with Arena PLM and SolidWorks PDM to ensure data accuracy, traceability and release readiness, spending time in labs to understand builds and reflect changes in released records.

Qualifications

• Experience managing engineering product data, configuration information or Bills of Materials.
• Experience with formal engineering change-control processes.
• Hands-on experience using PLM or PDM systems for day-to-day engineering-data management.
• Experience identifying and resolving BOM, release-data or configuration discrepancies across multiple teams.
• Strong technical-document and release-management skills.
• A clear understanding of data accuracy, revision control and configuration traceability.
• Strong problem-solving, planning and organisational skills.
• The ability to communicate effectively with engineering, operations and supply-chain stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Structure and maintain multi-level engineering Bills of Materials reflecting released intent.
• Maintain hardware release records and configuration data across components and revisions.
• Facilitate Engineering Change Request and Engineering Change Order workflows with traceability.
• Review release packages for completeness and configuration accuracy before release.
• Administer Arena PLM and SolidWorks PDM workflows, including lifecycle states and permissions.
• Align CAD, PDM, PLM with downstream systems and resolve data discrepancies.
• Improve configuration-management processes with clearer workflows and conventions.
