Job summary

OQC is seeking a Configuration Engineer to own hardware configuration data, BOMs and release records across engineering operations. You’ll support design governance, change control and mature PLM/PDM processes to enable reliable hardware information release.

You'll work with Arena PLM, SolidWorks PDM, CAD data and downstream systems; manage lifecycle states, routing and permissions while ensuring traceability and data accuracy across teams.

Qualifications

• Experience managing engineering product data and BOMs.
• Experience with formal engineering change-control processes.
• Hands-on use of PLM or PDM systems for data management.
• Ability to resolve BOM/release/configuration discrepancies across teams.
• Strong release-management and technical-document skills.
• Attention to data accuracy and revision control.

Responsibilities

• Structure and maintain multi-level engineering BOMs reflecting released engineering intent.
• Maintain hardware release records and configuration data across components and revisions.
• Facilitate Engineering Change Request and Engineering Change Order workflows; ensure traceability.
• Review release packages for completeness and accuracy before release of drawings and data.
• Administer Arena PLM and SolidWorks PDM workflows, including lifecycle states and permissions.
• Align CAD, PDM, PLM with downstream systems; resolve data discrepancies.
• Improve configuration-management processes by developing clearer workflows and conventions.
