Job summary

Toshiba Europe Limited is seeking an Electronics Engineer to advance secure quantum communication products at its Quantum Technology Centre in Cambridge, UK. You will develop high-speed broadband analogue and digital circuitry for cutting-edge quantum systems and collaborate with embedded software engineers to bring up boards and validate designs.

The role requires hands-on design, testing and documentation across the full development lifecycle, with opportunity to contribute to system-level

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification in Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Compile requirements and technical specifications for new broadband analogue and digital circuits.
• Design and review schematic designs, BOMs and multilayer PCB layouts with minimal supervision.
• Liaise with PCB fabrication and assembly houses.
• Independently perform board bring-up, debugging, soldering and integration testing with embedded software engineers.
• Develop test hardware and procedures for development and production.
• Create high quality documentation (requirements, design specs, tests plans, reports).
• Produce electronic system design portfolios; maintain and version control documentation.
• Support continuous improvement on existing products.
