Job summary

Randstad Construction and Property is seeking a commercially minded Quantity Surveyor to join the Peterborough team. You will provide essential commercial support, ensuring robust cost control, accurate reporting and value recovery across projects.

Responsibilities include cost planning, cash flow forecasting, CVRs, procurement, and contract administration with a focus on delivering value while managing risk. This is a permanent, full-time role on site in Peterborough.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying.
• Industry Experience: Construction sector experience.
• Contractual Knowledge: NEC/ICE forms and UK Construction Law.
• Commercial Expertise: Subcontractor procurement, progress meetings, CVRs.

Responsibilities

• Lead project-level cost reporting, cost planning, cash flow forecasting and earned value analysis.
• Administer main contract terms and manage risks.
• Procure subcontractors, negotiate contracts, manage valuation cycles and payments.
• Collaborate with project managers and site teams to align commercial performance with delivery targets.
