Job summary

M Group Energy is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage costs on substations and refurbishment projects across the East of England. You will report to the Managing Quantity Surveyor and work with operations, finance and procurement to control contracts and commercial records.

With about 3+ years in construction or infrastructure, you will handle valuations, NEC notices, cash flow, and cost reporting, while supporting junior colleagues.

Qualifications

• Approx. 3+ years in construction or infrastructure quantity surveying.
• Sound NEC knowledge and experience with valuations.
• Experience with subcontractor accounts and cost reporting.
• Full UK driving licence and strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare valuations and payment applications.
• Administer NEC notices and compensation events.
• Monitor cash flow and margins.
• Prepare cost-value reconciliations and forecasts.
• Manage supplier accounts from appointment to settlement.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities and maintain compliant records.
