Job summary

Edinburgh City Football Club Limited is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in the East of Scotland on a permanent basis with hybrid working options. The role involves managing the commercial function across projects, from tender to final account, and delivering accurate financial reporting to support profitability.

You will bring a degree in Quantity Surveying, strong negotiation skills, and experience on large-scale projects across sectors.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor in a main contractor environment.
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the commercial function on projects, from tender through to final account.
• Prepare, submit and negotiate valuations and variations.
• Provide accurate financial reporting and forecasting to the Commercial Manager/Director.
• Manage subcontract procurement, negotiation, and account management.
• Support project teams with contractual and commercial advice.
• Ensure projects are delivered within budget and maximise profitability.
• Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.

The Opportunity

Due to continued growth, the business is seeking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in the East of Scotland.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the commercial function on projects, from tender through to final account.
• Prepare, submit and negotiate valuations and variations.

About You

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor environment.
• Strong commercial awareness and excellent negotiation skills.
• Experience working on large-scale projects (£multi-million) across sectors such as industrial, commercial, healthcare, or infrastructure.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively within a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
