Job summary

Search Consultancy is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a leading Tier 1 main contractor on high-profile projects in and around Inverness and the wider Scottish Highlands.

You will manage commercial aspects from procurement to final accounts, with a strong emphasis on budgets, cost control, and subcontractor management, contributing to a robust commercial team.

Qualifications

• Experience in the construction industry, ideally with a main contractor.
• Good understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes.
• Experience managing subcontractor packages and project costs.
• Strong negotiation, communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a wider project team.
• Proactive and commercially focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Managing the commercial aspects of construction projects from procurement through to final account.
• Preparing and managing project budgets, forecasts and cost reports.

The Role:

As Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management and successful delivery of construction projects, working closely with the wider operational and commercial teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing the commercial aspects of construction projects from procurement through to final account.
• Preparing and managing project budgets, forecasts and cost reports.
• Subcontractor procurement, negotiation and account management.
• Managing valuations, variations and change control.
