Job summary

Egis is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join the HS2 gateway project at Old Oak Common in London. You will apply pre and post-contract management, procurement knowledge, and NEC3 contract experience to drive efficiencies and effective supply chain engagement.

The role requires site presence 3 days a week and offers access to RICS training and clear career development within a leading global firm.

Responsibilities

• NEC3 Contract management and administration upstream and downstream.
• Establish and manage entitlement, with focus on maximising entitlement under the contract.
• Investigate and draft contract communications and notices including Early Warning Notices, notification of Compensation Events, General Communications.
• Liaison and negotiation with the Client's Commercial and/or project team.
• Establishing and maintaining productive and collaborative relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure appropriate commercial records are maintained in line with the contract requirements and oversee any contractual issues.
• Provide contractual and commercial risk advice to the Commercial team and wider Technical and Construction Delivery teams.
• Contribute to project financial monitoring and reporting.
• Administration of subcontractor and supplier contracts including EWNs, change, payments, forecasts and through to final account.
• The quantity surveyor will lead the review and valuation of subcontractor applications for payment in accordance with contractual terms and conditions and contractual entitlement.
• Manage, monitor and report on commercial and cost reporting aspects of allocated projects and portfolio of works including CVRs and cost control.
• Support the programme and project teams to ensure full compliance with contract and corporate governance rules.
