Job summary

Rocket Staffing Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a construction team delivering projects across building, civil, infrastructure, highways, utilities, groundworks and refurbishment across Midlands / UK-wide. You will be responsible for commercial and financial management, cost control, and maximizing profitability.

The role involves managing budgets, interim valuations, payment applications, final accounts, subcontractor procurement, variations, and NEC/JCT contract

Qualifications

Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction.
Knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contracts.
Strong commercial, negotiation and organisational skills.
Degree, HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying, or equivalent experience desirable.

Responsibilities

Manage project costs, budgets, forecasts and financial reporting.
Prepare interim valuations, payment applications and final accounts.
Manage subcontractor procurement, payments and negotiations.
Assess variations, claims and commercial risks.
Administer NEC and/or JCT contracts.
Monitor project expenditure and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Liaise with clients, project managers, subcontractors and suppliers.
