Fusion People Ltd. is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor - MEP in Central London to lead commercial management of complex MEP schemes. You will measure, value, and manage payments, variations and CVRs while maintaining strong client and supply-chain relationships.

The role offers exposure to high-profile projects, with opportunities for progression and a collaborative team environment. A solid background in MEP contracting and NEC/JCT contract knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial management within M&E/MEP contracting.
• Strong subcontract procurement and account management.
• Proven cost control, change management and reporting.
• Familiarity with JCT and NEC contracts.
• Experience producing CVRs, forecasts and monthly reports.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently within a wider commercial team.
• Experience in healthcare/heritage projects is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Manage the commercial delivery of MEP works across allocated projects.
• Carry out measurement and valuation from site records and drawings.
• Prepare Applications for Payment and Payment Notices in accordance with contractual requirements.
• Manage project variations, change control and associated commercial impacts.
• Procure, administer and manage subcontractor accounts through to final account settlement.
• Prepare and maintain CVRs, cost-to-complete forecasts and commercial risk registers.
• Monitor and manage project cash flow and turnover forecasts.
• Produce internal valuations, subcontract liability reports and monthly commercial reports.
• Negotiate and agree subcontractor and supplier accounts.
• Ensure compliance with NEC and JCT contract requirements and internal governance procedures.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, supply chain partners and internal stakeholders.

Quantity Surveyor - MEP

Location: Central London

Salary: £55,000 - £75,000

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor - MEP to join a well-established commercial team delivering a diverse portfolio of projects across Central London. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex and technically challenging schemes within live environments, supporting the commercial delivery of high-profile M&E projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial delivery of MEP works across allocated projects.
• Carry out measurement and valuation of works from site records and drawings.
• Prepare Applications for Payment and Payment Notices in accordance with contractual requirements.
• Manage project variations, change control and associated commercial impacts.
• Procure, administer and manage subcontractor accounts through to final account settlement.
• Prepare and maintain Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs), cost-to-complete forecasts and commercial risk registers.
• Monitor and manage project cash flow and turnover forecasts.
• Produce internal valuations, subcontract liability reports and monthly commercial reports.
• Negotiate and agree subcontractor and supplier accounts.
• Ensure compliance with NEC and JCT contract requirements and internal governance procedures.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, supply chain partners and internal stakeholders.

Essential Experience & Skills

• Experience in commercial management within an M&E or MEP contracting environment.
• Strong understanding of subcontract procurement and account management.
• Proven experience in cost control, change management and commercial reporting.
• Working knowledge of JCT and NEC forms of contract.
• Experience producing CVRs, forecasts and monthly commercial reports.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently whilst contributing effectively to a wider commercial team.
• Experience within healthcare, heritage or similarly complex project environments would be advantageous.

About You

• HNC/HND, Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.
• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the M&E or Building Services sector.
• Strong understanding of commercial management principles and project controls.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet demanding deadlines.
• Proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach.
• Experience working on heritage and healthcare projects is desirable.
• Valid CSCS card.
• Full right to work in the UK.
