Job summary

Core Search is seeking an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor to join a leading contractor delivering high-quality commercial fit-out projects across Central London. You will take responsibility for the commercial management of MEP packages from pre-construction through to completion. The role requires a strong MEP background, 2 years QS experience, and excellent communication and negotiation skills, with opportunities for long-term career development on central London projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Quantity Surveying.
• Strong MEP / Building Services background.
• Commercial fit-out experience highly desirable.
• Good understanding of mechanical and/or electrical packages.
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Experience with subcontract procurement, valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Relevant Quantity Surveying qualification or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial aspects of MEP packages from pre-construction through to completion.
• Prepare and manage budgets, valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Manage procurement and subcontractor packages.
• Monitor project costs, forecasts and commercial performance.
• Review and negotiate subcontractor applications and accounts.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities.
• Work closely with Project Managers, engineers, clients and subcontractors.
• Provide accurate commercial reporting and cost advice.
• Support the successful delivery of high-value commercial fit-out projects.

We’re looking for an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor to join a leading contractor delivering high-quality commercial fit-out projects across Central London.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious QS with a strong MEP background to take responsibility for the commercial management of projects and play a key role in their successful delivery.

The Role

• Manage the commercial aspects of MEP packages from pre-construction through to completion
• Prepare and manage budgets, valuations, variations and final accounts
• Manage procurement and subcontractor packages
