Job summary

Fusion People is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor (M&E) to lead the commercial delivery on a major healthcare project in Shrewsbury. The role focuses on cost control, CVRs, forecasting and effective subcontractor management within a live environment.

You will drive contract compliance and stakeholder engagement across the project team. Ideal candidates will have strong MEP subcontracting experience, an HNC/HND or degree in a relevant discipline, and be able to work independently while

Qualifications

• Strong commercial management experience within MEP/M&E subcontracting environments.
• Proven track record in cost control, reporting, subcontractor management and change management.
• Solid understanding of NEC and/or JCT contracts, with NEC Option C experience desirable.
• Experience producing CVRs, cash flow forecasts and cost-to-complete reports.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider commercial team.
• Experience working in live environments, particularly healthcare projects, would be advantageous.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, supply chain partners and internal stakeholders.

Salary: £55,000 - £75,000

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor (M&E) to join a well-established commercial team delivering a major healthcare development project. About You

• HNC/HND, Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.
• Significant experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the M&E or Building Services sector.
• Strong understanding of monthly commercial reporting and project controls.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work to challenging deadlines.
• Proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach.
• RICS chartership, or working towards chartership, is desirable.
• Valid CSCS card.
• Full right to work in the UK.
