Job summary

Avolon M&E, a leading M&E contractor, is recruiting an experienced Quantity Surveyor based in Romford with regular site travel across London and the South East. You will own a portfolio of live projects from handover to final accounts, ensuring commercial performance and strong cost control.

The role demands a background in M&E/civil contracting, with proven experience in valuations, variations, and final accounts, plus procurement and subcontractor management skills.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within M&E or specialist contracting.
• Strong understanding of valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Experience commercially managing your own projects.
• Good knowledge of subcontractor procurement and account management.
• Strong contractual and commercial awareness.
• Experience working closely with site and project management teams.
• Good negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Full UK driving licence.

The Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join an established specialist M&E contractor delivering ductwork, ventilation and airside packages across London and the South East.

Based from the company's Romford office, with regular travel to live projects, you'll take commercial responsibility for your own portfolio of works and work closely with the wider commercial and project delivery teams.

This is a hands-on commercial position covering projects from initial handover through to final account.

About You

We're looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a background in M&E, building services or specialist subcontracting.

Previous experience withinct ductwork, ventilation, HVAC or mechanical services would be particularly advantageous, although this isn't essential if you have strong M&E subcontractor experience.

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to join an established specialist contractor with a strong pipeline of projects across London and the South East.

You'll join an existing commercial department with the opportunity to take ownership of your own projects while working alongside an experienced wider team.

The position offers a salary of up to £75,000 plus package, depending on experience
