Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to take commercial responsibility for mechanical and electrical packages on high-value fit out and refurbishment projects in Central London.

You will work closely with project teams, procurement and subcontractors to ensure packages are commercially controlled, delivered on time, and margins are protected across typically £10m–£45m schemes.

Responsibilities

• Commercial management of M&E packages from procurement through to final account

• Supporting procurement and tendering of M&E packages

M&E Quantity Surveyor

Central London | Fit Out & Refurbishment | £10m–£45m Projects

We are working with a leading fit out and refurbishment main contractor who are looking to strengthen their commercial team with an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor.

The business delivers high-value, technically complex fit out and refurbishment projects across Central London, typically ranging from £10m to £45m in value. They have an excellent reputation within the sector and a strong pipeline of upcoming projects.

The Role

As an M&E Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial responsibility for the mechanical and electrical packages across major fit out and refurbishment projects.

You will work closely with the project, commercial and procurement teams, as well as specialist M&E subcontractors, to ensure packages are commercially controlled and delivered successfully.

About You

We are keen to speak with M&E Quantity Surveyors who have experience working for main contractors, ideally within the fit out, refurbishment or high-end commercial interiors sector.

You will ideally have:

• Strong M&E commercial / quantity surveying experience
• Experience working on projects of £10m+
• Previous main contracting experience
• A good understanding of mechanical and electrical subcontract packages
• Strong subcontractor management and negotiation skills
• Experience with variations, valuations, forecasting and final accounts
• Excellent communication and commercial awareness
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Central London project environment
