The role

Ferrovial Construction is looking for Quantity Surveyor Interns to assist with commercial management/contract administration at Heathrow Airport from June to the end of August 2026. The Ferrovial NextGen Internship programme is designed to develop personal, professional and technical skills through a blended approach. You will work under the supervision of our Senior Quantity Surveyors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with tender enquiries, analysis of quotations and subcontractor procurement.
Key Accountabilities
  • Assist in the management of the day‑to‑day bill of quantities for the relevant sections of allocated projects to ensure financial efficiencies.
  • Help analyse subcontractor valuations.
  • Focus on cost control in line with the business’s financial systems.
  • Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure compliance with financial parameters.
  • Assist in the production and monitoring of applications, final accounts, payment certificates, and change control.
  • Assist in checking agreed sub‑contract applications and accounts.
  • Support document control.
  • Contribute to the achievement of health and safety in accordance with company policy.
  • Promote company values in all dealings with other employees, clients, subcontractors and external contacts.
  • Adopt and promote Ferrovial Construction UK Vision and Values; take ownership of assigned work.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact at a variety of levels.
  • Excellent written and oral English language proficiency.
  • Strong numerical skills.
  • Currently studying a Degree or Masters in Quantity Surveying.

Essential
