Job summary

ABS Commercial Solutions is seeking a versatile Quantity Surveyor to support a varied portfolio of utilities and infrastructure projects across the North West. You will manage project costs, forecasts and financial reporting while coordinating subcontractor procurement and commercial accounts.

The role offers home working options with client office attendance and site-based work, reflecting the project mix.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor or in a comparable commercial role.
• Solid understanding of commercial management and cost control.
• Experience with subcontractor management, valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Experience within utilities, infrastructure or civil engineering would be advantageous.
• Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively with different project teams.

Responsibilities

• Managing project costs, budgets, forecasts and financial reporting.
• Preparing and assessing applications for payment, interim valuations and cost reports.
• Managing subcontractor procurement, payments and commercial accounts.
• Monitoring variations, change control and commercial risks.
• Administering contracts and managing contractual obligations.
• Preparing valuations, cost reports and final accounts.
• Supporting commercial negotiations and resolving financial or contractual issues.
• Working closely with project managers, operational teams, clients and subcontractors.
• Identifying opportunities to improve commercial performance and protect project margins.
• Ensuring effective commercial processes are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
