Job summary

McLaughlin & Harvey Ltd is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to strengthen our team across high-value projects. You will manage budgets, procure the supply chain, and certify subcontractor interim payments, while maintaining robust cost control and commercial risk management.

The role requires a degree and experience in construction. You will travel to sites as needed, work in a collaborative, hybrid environment, and contribute to cost reporting and final account submissions.

Qualifications

• Budget preparation and analysis for high-value projects.
• Procurement of the supply chain and preparation of order documentation.
• Assessment and certification of Sub-Contractor interim payments and notices.
• Preparation of Interim Valuations and Final Accounts.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and analysis of budgets.
• Procurement of the Supply Chain and preparation of order documentation in accordance with company management systems.
• Assessment and certification of Sub-Contractor interim payments ensuring the appropriate notices are issued.
• Preparation of Interim Valuations and Final Account submissions.
• Managing and valuing Variation accounts.
• Assist with Extension of Time claims and Loss and Expense submissions.
• Identify and manage Commercial risks.
• Produce monthly Cost Value Reconciliation reports.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Ensure interaction between commercial and site teams.
