Job summary

Brandon James Ltd is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor for its Sunderland office. The role offers APC support, MRICS pathway, and involvement from feasibility through to final account across diverse sectors.

You’ll manage cost, procurement, valuations and contract administration, with travel across the North East. Hybrid working and a strong training culture accompany a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• A degree in Quantity Surveying or similar construction-related qualification.
• Around 2-3 years’ consultancy or client-side Quantity Surveying experience.
• Good knowledge of pre and post-contract cost management.
• Experience with procurement, valuations, cost reporting and contract administration.
• Working knowledge of JCT contracts.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
• A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the North East.
• Progress towards, or an ambition to achieve, MRICS accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre- and post-contract cost management for diverse projects.
• Provide cost management, procurement, valuations and contract administration services.
• Support Employer’s Agent services across multiple sectors.
• Work from Sunderland and travel across the North East with clients and project teams.
