Job summary

Accent is seeking a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor to support repairs and voids contracts. You will monitor costs, review quotations and valuations, and provide financial insight to ensure value for money while collaborating with contractors and internal teams.

The role is hybrid (Peterborough or Bradford) with a 35-hour work week (Mon–Fri 9am–5pm) and a spot salary of £51,936.25 per year. Travel across Accent sites with a UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Quantity Surveying qualification at HNC/HND or degree level (or equivalent).
• Knowledge of contracts, schedules of rates, cost control and commercial management.
• Strong financial analysis and reporting skills with ability to review costs and valuations.
• Understanding of responsive repairs, voids and property maintenance, plus health and safety (CDM knowledge a plus).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management with good prioritisation.
• Experience with cost management systems or housing/property management software.
• Familiarity with housing/local authority/construction sectors is a plus.
• Willingness to travel to Accent sites with a UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial support across Accent’s repairs and voids contracts.
• Manage and monitor costs, review quoted works, valuations and variations.
• Provide clear financial insight to keep services controlled and value for money.
• Advise on costs, schedule of rates, and risk; support procurement activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues and contractors to improve efficiency without compromising quality.
